Profile

Winifred teaches Philosophy and English at Narrabundah College in the ACT. Since 2004, she have been involved in writing and developing a Philosophy course for Year 11 & 12 students in the ACT which students can take as a Major for their tertiary entrance package. She is a member of SOPHY [Society of Philosophy for the Young] through which she has offered training workshops for teachers of philosophy in schools.  She holds PhD’s in Philosophy of Education and Philosophical Theology and has published in those areas. She is particularly interested in the role of philosophical education in the personal development of senior secondary students and in the counter-cultural potential of the subject.
